He was the greatest boxer I ever saw. And for some reason we didn't mind the way he boasted - unlike these would be greats we see today trying it on. RIP

I once got into an argument with a guy in Malta who said Ali was a coward because he would not go and fight.I said Ali showed more courage by standing up for what he believed in,any one agree?

I for one agree, Sam. Many of us came to respected his stand on the Vietnam War. On a sad note some of our Aussie dead have just returned this week from that disastrous conflict - Britain did well to stay out of it.

Absolutely he was no coward. He could have taken the easy way and gone out with the draft. He was such an important person for the States that he would have been kept out of harms way. He was a religious man and stuck to his beliefs. Finally, thank God for Harold Wilson who kept us out of Vietnam.

Even though to my mind he came across as too much of a big mouth, he was a great boxer.
