Well, it's not all that unique, and there is still something more unique which has still to be bettered.
Alf Ramsey took over as manager of Ipswich Town in 1955. when they were in the (old) third division.
In 1957, they were promoted to the second division and in 1961, to the first (now premier) division, which they went on to win the same season. That is going through three divisions in five years and getting to the very top.
They are the only team ever to win the first (premier) division in the same year they were promoted into it.

My old golfing partner, Sam Ward was part of Ramsey's Ipswich Town squad.

But surely that was in the days when teams were more even not such a big monetary difference as there is now. Leicesters full team cost £23m silly money I know but a pittance compared tae the big 4.

Just the opposite.
Today, some idiot billionaire with more money than sense could buy a small club, fill it with big names and do it.

Good on you, Leicester City. Great to see.

Statistics apparently state that Man U have spent more on players in the last two years than Leicester have done in their entire existence.

Nice story in the paper about a young lady who is a mad Leicester fan, whose boss bought her a £10 ticket at 5000/1 in August last year "for a laugh". Sure bet she's laughing now!!!!

They are now saying it was a training device left by a security company who were conducting anti terrorism training for sniffer dogs. Somebody is going to get their bum kicked

The epl has had everything this season from first till last. Most of it made for great viewing. Good luck to Liverpool in Europa lge final this wk as well. Noticed that Europa and champions lge finals are not on free to air tv this yr. Shame on you bt sport! Paying enough for sky sports and have no intention of taking on anymore channels.
Although I have heard there is a live stream of champs final on youtube.
