My Aussie Footie Team
My footie team (Aussie Rules) progressed to the next round of the finals. Melbourne F.C. Beat Geelong F.C. to progress to the next round - it was a very exciting game. Hope I can sleep tonight. Crowd was 90,000+ I watched it on TV.
Netta we take on your grandkids' team, Hawthorn. Wonder how that will go.

Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Glad Hawks got a second chance, my family would have been devastated. Silly having their game on a Thursday night, no way they could work, drive for 4 hours, go to match and drive home again on a work/school night.
Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Watched it last night with my neighbour Netta she is a Melbourne supporter we thought she was going to have a heart attack she was screaming like a banshee, so funny, she could not get to sleep either I believe 2-30 she went to bed.

Haha, Sarah. Used to have to listen to my neighbour screaming like a banshee when her beloved Saints were playing.

Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Another 90,000 + crowd last night saw my Melbourne F.C. Demons win through to the next round in West Australia next week. If they can get through that they are into the grand final.
Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Well done, Demons
Our family came down for the game, not a good result for them after driving for 4hours and paying a heap of money for tickets. Never mind, another try next year.

Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Well my team Melbourne Demons are out of competition. They played terribly over in West Australia yesterday. So the Grand Final is between Collingwood and the West Coast Eagles. Don't know how that will go. Other than me, our family are all Collingwood supporters.
The last time they won the Grand Final was in 2010. Young Fraser McCallum fitted into the cup back then - he's a wee bit bigger now.

Not a Collingwood supporter as you know Hughie, but I hope they do win this year for that really cute

Sorry about that Hughie. It has been reported that, following the game, W.A. Police received 26 Victim Impact Statements from Demons fans !

Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Hi Jim,
I feel sorry for all those Melbourne fans travelling all that way (some by 3 days crossing the country by car) to watch their team get flattened. Looking forward to the Grand Final on Saturday. I'll watch on TV - son and family all have tickets and hoping for a Collingwood win.

Re: My Aussie Footie Team
Aye Hughie, the same could be said of Eagles fans regards crossing the Nullarbor, hopefully not for nothing!
Anyway, I'm a a Dockers fan so I care little about the result.
