Hi Ellen, I never saw the TV series, but I read the books, 'A woman Of Substance' and 'Hold The Dream', years ago. I used to love those 'rags to riches' books. Emma Harte (the heroine) really inspired me! When you're young you think if you work hard enough anything is possible!
