Poldark

Post by 5siamese7 »

I love this series because it doesn't have much impact on the grey matter. A kind of simple explanation of hard times in Cornwall in times gone by.The Americans have Captain America but we have Captain Poldark. In the same tradition in his pursuit of justice he unarmed manages to bash half a dozen heavily armed frogs and escape back to Cornwall. At least the Cornish pasties in the supermarket are still on special offer.

I watched the original series, have seen some of the newer ones generally likeable.

Its hotting up the lovely Morwenna marries a nasty guy, a parson who treats her very badly. Thankfully her true love comes to her rescue and they live happily ever after.

Its so wonderful and doesn't tax the brain cells. Our hero is looking a bit mocket these days and his cousin lives in a dream world where no matter what he achieves he will always be is a very unhappy man. The lovely Morwenna sacrifices her future happiness to save her true love from the gallows. It certainly pulls on the heart strings.
