Watched Colonia last night true story about a German religious cult set up in Chile after the war. Fast forward tae the 70s and the military coup in Chile the new government sends it's opponents to the cult to be tortured until brain dead. The story is around a girl who's boyfriend is taken and she joins to try and rescue him.

Recently watched 'room' and I have to say the acting was superb. Brie Larson and young Jacob Tremblay (who will become a huge star) played mother and son held captive in a shed for several. Bit grim in places but don't let that put you off as its one of the best films I've seen in a while. Also revenant and sicario excellent and Martian worth a watch .

Last night watched Burnt it is about an ex alcy/junkie chef trying to get back in the business and gain his 3rd Michelin star.

Also Sicario a fbi versus Mexican drug cartel film enjoyed this but not so much burnt.

Tuesday night is film night for me and Mrs bonzo last night we watched Spotlight true story about a cover up involving child abuse and priests excellent movie.
The remake of the jungle book enjoyed it but only 2 songs in it.
And dirty grandpa the least said about it the better except it proves Robert de Niro can make a bad film.

Watched this on the flight to Canada last month and, although depressing, was a well made movie, and like you I would recommend.

I seen the new Jungle Book last week. The film was well done, the animation amazing but I think I preferred the cartoon version. Enjoyable all the same.

Last nights films were In the heart of the sea the story behind the writing of Moby Dick and Criminal a story about transferring the memory of a dead CIA agent in to the mind of a phsyco to try and reveal what the agent knew before he died.

Last night watched the revenant story about fur trappers
One of them is mauled by a bear and left for dead by his friend. Then it's about his survival and subsequent revenge. Also bad education the movie spin off from the TV show not very good.
