No 14 looks very much like Ian Wilson , no relatation to the Wilsons of the Champion Shell. Ian moved to Stevenston from somewhere in England during my school days but I dont remember him being involved in the licence trade. Someone in the 3ts may confirm

Met Robert Wilson from the Champion Shell a few nights back and was talking about the photo , he remembered it well, unfortunately I could have done with a copy of the post to obtain names to add to the list as I dont see him very often. His recollections of the visit to bells would suggest a free weekend , that is ,hotel accommodation ,meals, gifts of the amber nectar for the men , the girls received head scarfes and other items.
