It was on the tele to-day about how Ardrossan is one of the worst places in Scotland for unemployment. Ian Baxter spoke of the Ardrossan he remembered which had a thriving port. When you think of the industry that has been lost there its really hard to have any confidence in our politicians.

The issue was why some coastal towns are blackspots for unemployment and yet others are doing well. Ian Baxter spoke of his anger about what Ardrossan has lost.

Whilst we're on the subject of Ardrossan does anyone remember the mess Princes street was in when the sulphur boat was unloaded.
