Not surprised it’s up for sale. Does anybody frequent this miserable hole nowadays? Haven’t been near the place in nearly thirty yrs

The Threetowners committee used to meet in The Grants every month. They were so good to us, giving us the back lounge to run fundraising events and hosting our reunion get togethers free of charge. Mary used to feed us during our winter committee meetings with great pies and/or soup. I thought it was a very friendly, welcoming place and was happy to call it the 3ts local.creamolafoam wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 12:01 am Not surprised it’s up for sale. Re: The Grants - Now McGlone's
A sign of the times, I'm afraid.
It was always a Boglemart and Caley pub, never a 'Stevenston' place, never mind a Three Tooner.
I remember it in the late '60's and early '70's when big Ulie was the boss.
You couldn't get moving on a Friday and Saturday night and it was busy through the week as well.
Then, it was a very good business with friendly staff and an excellent cellar, especially the Guinness.
A saddened JD.
