Back in the 1980s there was a post at the side of the Fairlie Moor Road that had a spot light on it and it shon into the sky, does anyone know what it was used for? It used to be lit all the time. Looking at streetview the post is still there todayt but no light. So what was the light for?, when was it put there?, when was it removed?
It is located not far from where Ardeer useed to explode their ordinance in the small quarry area which is now a carpark.

Re: Light on Fairlie Moor
Would it have anything to do with the 'rocket launch enthusiasts' who have or had a site up on the moor?
