Portencross Castle
Can anyone give me an update on Portencross castle, did the restoration's ever get finished? The last time this was mentioned, I think they were short of funds and the project was staled.
Re: Portencross Castle
The castle is now open, however the staff are volunteers so I'm not sure about opening times. Worth a visit. No charge the couple of times I've been but there's a box for donations.

Thanks for that info, but where is the roof.? I expected when the work was finished the castle would look similar to Law Castle in West Kilbride.
If I remember right, and that's a big "IF", Ardneil bay was between Seamill and Portencross.

On our second last trip home we went up on to the roof with Lily and Gibby Campbell. Was blowing a gale.
