I wonder if you can really come back and haunt places ? I do hope so.

I once lived in a haunted house and the ghosts were not happy but harmless however there was real terror when a demon would try to possess me.

Try to stick to the subject of the topic, please. In passing it's fine but let's not continue along these lines virtually hijacking the topic.

Grope wall, grope wall..usually with a big wad of blood soaked cotton hand to mouth. Outside his practise there were always blood spots on the pavement. Later I went to a Mr. Spencer , an Englishman, I think,in Saltcoats, much easier and quite horrified by my experiences. I worked with his daughter, a lovely girl, in the then Eglington cafe.

I also remember the slap across the face put me off dentists completely! Still nervous of them today! Does anyone remember the mynah bird in the waiting room?

I remember the mynah bird, squawking away and hopping from perch to perch, also the fish tank, supposed to help you relax, just added to my jitters withe the fish constantly moving, the aerator bubbling, all the other nervous folk waiting..it all screamed 'run away, run away'! Mind you, I still have my own teeth, in spite of the penny caramels, well, the teeth that Mr. Maxwell left alone, he once removed the wrong, perfectly healthy tooth... :(

Saltcoats dentist Mr Moultrie was a great dentist
I went to him for years then went to Australia
where I got root treatment which was not good
went back to Scotland and Mr Moultrie asked me if
it was a chinese dentist that done it and I said no
He fixed my tooth up very good. and in later years when we
went back again my son went and It was Mr Moultries son
that saw my son and he was excellent again.

Funny the folks' memories of Maxwell. Either for or against him really.

I remember even when I got my leg stuck through the bars of his stairs (I was such a stupid child), he was so OK about it. My mum and him got me out. //funny

Jim Goodall was the dentist but the surgery was in his mother's bungalow. Brilliant dentist, took the time for me to self-trance into deep relaxation to avoid my usual extreme agitation brought on by Hitler's henchman down near the Old Saltcoats Caley Station (might have been Buchanan) who gave me a faceful of gold fillings without anaesthetics.
Also a talented tenpin bowler during the times I played in the Basebowl Leagues.
