Wow, excellent photos! If you're not one already, you should be a news photographer, James. Some great shots!
Wonder what happened? The damage looks extensive. Here's hoping those who were hurt are doing okay.
Thanks for the photos.

Catherine

Well done Jim. Great photo's!

Our Betty's brother Peter had a place just about there. That photo taken from the "India Rubber" Caley Bridge is a beauty. The red sandstone three storie building on the right at the bottom of Gutherie Brae is where our dear pal Jimmy Laughlan grew up before going to America.

Fantastic photographs hope nobody was hurt.

Josephine.

It's amazing the houses still look the same as when I was there.

Thanks for this Jim.

Thanks for the pictures I just heard the news this morning and my mother was frantic as my aunt and uncle stay in canal street I have now been able to reassure her it was not their block that went up. She was unable to get them on the phone but they could be away or evacuated. So many thanks

The road was still blocked today from Boglemart street and the Kyleshill junction just up from the station in Saltcoats.I was passing yesterday and saw the flames coming right through the roofs of two of them.It is amazing that no one was killed
