Aye. That is the one !!
First time I ever saw a pic of the farm.
It is further down the hill from expected.

Re: Corsankell Farm Pic
I'll be very surprised if this is Corsan Kell.
It was a low red sandstone building in a hollow as I remember it.
This does not look like it at all. And the burn was some way away from the buildings.
As I remember it you could not see the farm from the burn. It was over the hill.

Seeing as you're so knowlegeable about these things JD, it might help if you could enlighten us all as to what farm in the surrounding area you think it might be.John Donnelly wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2017 10:17 pm I'll be very surprised if this is Corsan Kell.

Re: Corsankell Farm Pic
That is odd then Jd. It is clearly not Diddup Farm as other people were saying on FB.

Michael and Viv.
It's been more than 50 years since I walked those roads and tracks.
The old memory is being sorely stretched. I was hoping that others, more knowledgeable/with better memories, would pick up on my doubts.
It's a real shame that such a beautiful farm was pulled down and we cannot take a wander up there to check for ourselves.
And they call it progress. At the same time, I use the new road gratefully when I'm home for a visit.
I suppose that just make me a hypocrite.

Re: Corsankell Farm Pic
The photo's of Diddup Glen. Corsinkell - or Corsankell - is near Glen Banks and not Diddup. It can't be Corsinkell.
You can see where the farms were on these old maps:

Re: Corsankell Farm Pic
That is not Corsankell farm. Viv your the one who said it was and why was that? Its not the Didup farm either. If this is a painting I think the artist is just using his imagination.
Re: Corsankell Farm Pic
People on fb were saying it was.
Turns out there is a hidden waterfall on Diddup Glen too. Need to check this out in Summer.
