Saltcoats - the town by the sea (Video)

Post by Hughie »

Video by Aidan Lynn
Hello everyone, recently I completed my graded unit project for my college course, which was centred on our wee town. I’m very pleased with the final outcome and I hope you enjoy it.

A very well put together wee video and a good choice of accompanying music too. Interesting to see the contrasts between Past and Present - though many of them are quite sad.

Was well put together. I did point out that the Landsborough church was demolished in 1973 and not 1932.

Absolutely brilliant, brought back so many memories. I wonder how many of you , like me, learned to swim in the bathing pool, and the end of the sewer pipe had the best wulks! Well done

Great wee video. The tower at the harbour always reminds me of being a wean and watching the big boys jump off it into the sea . Never brave enough to do it myself.

I thought it was an excellent presentation, cleverly thought out.

As an aside, while I don't think the wall plaque is wrong, I never heard locals referring to having "skipped" stones. We skiffed them!

Yip, we skiffed them too PT - which my brother Ian was fantastic at. I did a lap of honour if my stone skiffed twice before sinking!!
