Saltcoats Bowling Club RNLI fundraiser June 1974
Saltcoats Bowling Club held a mixed game in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in early June 1974, and this picture shows the winners being presented with their prizes of Lifeboat spoons.
Mr James Taylor, president of the club, presided over the occasion, and Mrs S T Baillie, vice-president of the local RNLI branch, presented the prizes to the winning rink of Mrs Jean Templeton, Mrs Peggy Reid, Mr J Campbell and Mr W Wilson ( skip ). The total collected for the RNLI was £70 and this was handed over to Mr Murchie, treasurer of the local branch.
