Sorry for my absence in posting. Limited and patchy access where I am at the present. Back to normal in a few days. :puter

Yes Brian, we were all at sea for a while, going to and from New Scotland - (New Caledonia) and Vanuatu. Gives the old girl (oor Betty) a wee break from the cooking and housework. :cool

Hughie, as half digibet, I would have thought that such a big liner with all its high-tech equipment would have had a solid wifi access on board.

No problems, John. We had plenty of free loyalty wifi minutes, though at sea wifi is a wee bit slower than our normal connection here at home. Then there was a couple of grandkids studying for exams and looking after oor hoose (so they reckon) while we spend their parents' inheritance - had to keep in contact with them. That ate up many minutes. Buying more time wasn't a problem - but we were on holiday and out to enjoy ourselves and we did.

Meg was aware of the situation and I thank her for having my back on this - I've soldiered on when she's been away on holiday. Sorry I need to catch up on my sleep.

Know what you mean Hughie. When we're off on our hols. I pull the plug, possible emergencies excepted.
Problem is, when we get back, it takes me a couple of days to clear the backlog, most of which is spam.

We kept buying strawberries, just cut them before eating to be on the safe side.
There was another scare at the weekend with someone putting something in an apple.
They arrested a woman yesterday for the strawberry contamination. A disgruntled employee allegedly.

The question of having a bank in Stevenston is a step in the right direction, and one, we have no doubt, which will readily meet with the approval of the community, and of all businessmen who have their hundreds and fifties shelved beside themselves from disinclination to travel to Saltcoats or elsewhere to deposit.

But wait, there's a catch...

Congratulations- To Kenny Dalglish who was knighted at the palace today. :D

It made me think about the differences regarding the awards and found this helpful.
