I'll tell you something if I hadn't run out of potatoes and other essentials I would have stayed in the house. With that wind the cold was incredibly cold. So glad to get back inside. Murder, talk about the cauld blast.

Meant to be off to the sun for a week leaving Saturday morning but not sure if the weather is going to interfere.

The heck I did JD - mind you, I still waken around 6am - a lifetime of rising early I suppose.

Meg,

Best wishes in this new, exciting chapter of your life!

I hope everything goes well regarding Saturday. However, fingers crossed you're flying from Prestwick. I'm close to Glasgow Airport at the moment where the snow is at least 2 feet deep - and another blizzard has just started.

Nope - Glasgow I’m afraid. The best thing is though, I don’t have to go back to work a week on Monday so I don’t really care..... Thanks for the wishes PT, you are my retirement guru

Best wishes in retirement Meg - I've been out of teaching for more than fifteen years but still dream about "which boy threw that".

Read during the week you should walk around like a penguin to avoid falling : arms outwards. All about balance.
