What's been your favourite food/drink since childhood?
Since receiving my daily half-pint at St Mary's from the janitor Mr. McKernon (?), mine has been milk . Since then, I have managed at least one half-pint daily. I've paid some fearsome prices for my indulgence in places such as Singapore, Philippines and Kenya. From memory the only places I visited in the late-60s/early-70s where cow's milk could not be obtained was Bandar Abbas (Iran), Bahrein, Oman and St. Helena (where Napolean was exiled).
What's yours?

Gosh, Jim, too hard to select just one. Milk would be way down on my list. Maybe gammon or bacon? Strawberries. Didn't get them too often though! One of my favourite wee lassie meals was a soft boiled egg and 'soldiers'.

Aye morag
There's also Irn-Bru, black pudding, gammon sandwiches and Jaffas for me but my all-time favourite is plain old-fashioned MILK. Note I say "old-fashioned", not the pasteurised, homogensied, everything-ised white liquid they now call milk - innocent watter knocked stupit!

Jim, I've noticed a lot of women don't care for milk or eggs..don't know if it's because we lactate and ovulate and that puts us off Bit too close to home!! Haven't had black pud or fruit pud in yonks but still enjoy a big fry up, bacon, egg, sausage, toast, fried tomatoes, mushrooms..and since coming here, hash browns. And a big cuppa tea!

Toffee - Any money I got went towards 'penny carmels' or 'coo toffee' they lasted longer than chocolate. To this day, give me good toffee any day.

Sweeties, any colour, any sort. I think it stems from never having had enough money to buy enough now I can, I do.
