That takes me back to the Abattoir in Blakely Rd, Saltcoats. Humphing the meat on to the refrigerated lorries.

I think i can just about remember a different kind of Humphing, but not saying ... :wink:

That's a good one. Wondering what it's origin was, I see it's regarded as a mild oath in Scotland, an altered form of GOD.
