I'd not like that. Here I'm fairly close to where they hold drag races every so often, as if the noise from regular traffic, planes etc. isn't enough. I know lots of folk are into it and it probably boosts local economy, but I prefer peace and quiet :(

You should live here there is total silence and you know people have said to me how do you cope with that and I say you get used to it and I love it. The downside is it makes you more sensitive to sounds.

I can hear my neighbor in the apt. above me having a shower 5:45am grrrrrr :mrgreen:

That sounds lovely Hughie, I just heard the geese going by it always amazes me how they leave and then return in spring. :D

The toot from the ferry about to leave for Melbourne, the signal that it's leaving in three minutes. :)
No tell-tale black smoke to tell you it's arriving like the Lairds Isle used to. 8)
