It's 8.45pm on Sunday night here & all I currently hear is more heavy rain - ENOUGH !!!!!
Wanganui is like an over-saturated sponge that just can't take any more.

Crows cawing. There are a lot of them about just now and they seem to favour my garden. Just now obe is cawing loudly and there's a more distant one answering.

Rather than what I can hear I'd like to mention what I CANNOT hear - namely more rain - about time too . Heard on the local news this morning that on the weekend just past Wanganui got one month's rain in one day

The boss is watching the comedy musical MAMMA MIA on the telly, ABBA came out with some great sounds including my favourite Dancing Queen.

Never cared for them, much to my big sis's shock! They are immensely popular though. I was more into Cohen, my sis didn't get that either...lol! I did like the Beatles! so I wasn't a complete miserable git! Lovely to wake to the sound of the Blackbirds trill in the morning here - springtime in Oz. They seem more active for some reason this year. We're seeing them often in the garden with beaks full of worms to take back to their young.

What can you hear right now?
The sound of the rain falling down - natural sounds such as this are comforting. When we first came to Australia and found our first apartment which had a tin roof, it kept us awake, but then we found it to be quiet comforting as we got used to it - not that it rained very often.

Nothing now that my daughter and Grandaughter have gone home after their Sunday visit as they are booth very loud at the talking and carrying on with each other but still look forward to their visit.

I like that sound as well....as long as I am indoors anyway. In the evening I like to hear it battering off the windows. Winter or Summer.Hughie wrote:What can you hear right now?
