Australia Day 2019

Post by Hughie »

Happy Australia Day, cobbers! Get the BBQ on and have a couple of tinnies. :D

Popular Fr Bob McGuire from inner Melbourne will be giving the speech in our town as an Australia Day Ambassador. I'll miss it, as our moothie band has been asked to play Aussie tunes as the ferry arrives over from Melbourne.

Meg, would happily have given you 20 degrees yesterday. We had rolling power stoppages yesterday so no aircon etc. and temps in the 40s
Would have been happy to look out at some snow.😊

Wife spoke to Fr. Bob after his speech and from what she tells me he was born in Glasgow to Irish parents before coming to Australia. I've added a couple of photos of the beach scene today Australia Day!
