Not sure on this one.
Think it was you should turn your money either when it was a new moon or a full moon. I can remember walking home with my Mum and her telling me to do it. Just don't remember which moon.

I hold my hands up to being a naturally sceptical type of person Vivc as I tend not to take these things too seriously.
In fact, so much so that if I come across someone up a ladder in the street I'll sometimes deliberately walk straight underneath it. Happy to report I haven't yet been hit on the head by a tin of paint nor struck by a bolt of lightning either ....... touch wood!

I wonder what is behind the red headed man.
I think that came from Viking invasions Viv.

Superstition says you should turn your silver money over in your pocket under a new moon.

Travelling to and from school was always delayed by having to avoid cracked paving slabs!

If you did step on one any bad luck was dispelled by spitting on the said slab three times.

Wouldn't the Vikings have been blond and the locals red headed?

If you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron. Lee Trevino
