Re: Favourite 3 towns pub(past or present)
The Kyleshill bar was on the right going up the hill over the railway as you came in to Saltcoats on Canal Street.
Young's was on corner of Vernon St and Green St.
I might have misnamed the Caley Vaults - I had in mind the pub halfway along Green St which was the only MacLay's Ales in the 3T. It becme Rudi's for a while, and might now still be open - poss. the 4 Seasons??

the pub on Canal St I remember as The Argyle,it moved to the miners home to become to MapleLeaf.I don't ever mind the pub on the corner of Vernon St and Green St(the Rabbie Burns) being called Youngs,I knew it as Smalls.the other pub in Green St. was the Saint Andrew's Bar,now 4 seasons.

Was in the pub at the foot of Raise Street Victoria? Way back in 1970 with some friends and my new wife,a childhood sweetheart was there singing and when she found out I was just married got up and announced the next song was for someone special, the song being Are you loon some tonight.
Was in doghouse rest of the night so if Sally Hughes of Kirkhall Drive is still about thanks.

It's got a For Sale sign,Does that mean it has finally closed down?
O/T the doorway is really dangerous with the narrow pavement, I wonder it that would inhibit a licence application?
I believe that there are a couple of pubs up for sale, one it appears to have been "for sale" for years.
The Windy Ha' is quite a fine building IMO

Stivis,
The pub you mention in Countess Street was, I think, THE JUBILEE.
