Social Gathering

We havent had a wee night for a while - and I was thinking we might get together for a social occasion late autumn, early winter. Any ideas including or apart from the very popular quiz night? We always have a VERY warm welcome from Mary at the Grant Arms in Stevenston (and she makes great pies, soup, stovies etc.) so that would be the top of my list, but I am willing to listen to any suggestions. For our newer members, this is a great time to put names to faces and it is always a good laugh, and more importantly, we would love to meet you.

ooooh, ye may regret that Meg... seriously, if it wasn't for weans and grandweans (and Ive just learned another is due next April) plus pets, I'd be back in a jiffy.

just thinking for the expats that cant get to the pub what about doing something via skype, most lappy's have webcams, if we can get a wifi signal at the pub then jobs a goodun, dont think the 3g phone signal and using phone as modem would be powerful enough

skype, internet based software allows you to make phone calls via your computer using a web camera and microphone

wifi, wireless internet basically allows you to connect to internet without a cable to phone socket

3g, modern mobile phones that allow you to use internet and do video calls etc also allows you to connect your computer to internet if you dont have wifi signal

lappy, laptop computer

Plus, ma cell phone...It's old..it can prob do more than I know but amazingly I just use it (rarely) to call my kids.
