Made Stovies in the slow cooker overnight using much the same recipe as in the video - except I used square sausage and also added some diced turnip.

Those pies certainly look the part Hughie - and beef is the most popular filling for Scotch pies nowadays, although there's often some mutton/lamb content as well. They maybe just needed a wee bit more water added to the mix to help prevent the dryness but still good to see them on offer on a cruise...

Just a general query here, but where exactly in Ardrossan was this school located and would it have had any connection to St. Peter's Secondary school in South Crescent Rd which was demolished a number of years ago ?
