Of course, stivis - puzzled as to why the person who initially uploaded it would feel the need to do that in the first place though. Then again it's maybe just a 'Settings' error.

Re: The ... What are you doing or thinking right now - Topic

Just back from visiting a friend in Saltcoats a few minutes ago brian. Although it's not 'lit up' as such, Bobby's statue was still quite impressive looking. On a fairly cold evening there were folk stopping to take group pics and selfies etc on their phones etc. If no-one beats me to it I'll try an...

Re: Your favourite music on Youtube etc...

Unusual guitar playing from Tracy there. Right handed in the first video then left handed in the second. 8)

Re: Scottish Stovies

Made Stovies in the slow cooker overnight using much the same recipe as in the video - except I used square sausage and also added some diced turnip.
Turned out just fine (nice n' juicy) :)

Re: Station Bar getting a revamp

Hopefully things work out ok for the new owners as it's such an iconic building. I grew up mainly in the top end of Stevenston but knew of the wee Store, the Station bar and the Trust bar too - as a wean living in Portland Place I remember when the Trust was called the Ayrshire Houses of Refreshment...

Re: Central School Ardrossan 1953 - class photo

Yes Michael, I believe it was the old name for St Peter's school from the 1930s to the 1950s. Susan I had a wee feeling that might be the case, down south, as there were some pointer's in the photo that led me to think that. The first was the class names of 3a and 3b - I attended St Peter's in the ...

Re: Scotch Cruise Pies

Those pies certainly look the part Hughie - and beef is the most popular filling for Scotch pies nowadays, although there's often some mutton/lamb content as well. They maybe just needed a wee bit more water added to the mix to help prevent the dryness but still good to see them on offer on a cruise...

Re: Central School Ardrossan 1953 - class photo

Just a general query here, but where exactly in Ardrossan was this school located and would it have had any connection to St. Peter's Secondary school in South Crescent Rd which was demolished a number of years ago ?
