Re: somethig fishy
Well I read that there are real worries about antibiotics getting into the human population from their overuse in fish farms. Beam me up Scotty. 5eulbdog7, I'm not really sure on this one bu...

Morag, they are awe pickles. I presume you mean the onions, if so thats ok. In the battle with my sisters, my first target was the gerkins followed by the cauliflower, pickled onions had to be from a chip shop.

Used to pick them in the fields by the river also on the golf course, haven't done this for years. Mind you I have to say, some of them were magic.

Re: brussel sprouts
Wonder why a Christmas specialty? We had them weekly.. :( I enjoy sprouts and eat them all year round thanks to the supermarkets. They are a winter crop, and to get them at their best they need a wee bit of frost. Cauliflower has been mentioned, love them with a cheese sauce mmm. Oh, and in a jar o...

Well done Susan, or should I say Miss Marple. They are indeed located in the wall that adjoins the rear of the Salvation Army Hall.

Re: Where are they ?
Sorry Sam and S.C. not there I'm afraid.
I had mentioned in an earlier post that the museum area was warm, but as a further clue - a wall has 2 sides, inside and outside.

Re: Where are they ?
Ok, my guess ( uneducated) is at the heritage centre wall in Saltcoats. I think with this answer we will need to play a game from our childhood " hot and cold" as the wall around the old graveyard covers some area. For those who havn't played this game it goes as follows, one member of th...
