That's right Meg. He was a "cool" guy. Usually smiling or laughing and a great sense of humour. He and Bruce Bain were good mates.

Passing of Bobby Shanks

Robert (Bobby) Shanks passed away, after a short illness, probably early February. He was a regular in the corner of the Melbourne cafe. If memory serves, his bike was a 500cc Triumph Tiger.

I recall Jack (aka "Jackie") Boyd and his wife Rita. In March 1972, Jackie took the photographs of our wedding and Rita hand-coloured them. If my 72 year old memory serves, the business was located in Dockhead Street, Saltcoats.
