Unfortunately not, George. Dr. Marshall died on the 30th November, 1884, and his obituary in the Glasgow Herald intimated that he was a native of Methwick in Aberdeenshire. The Chusan monument was erected in Ardrossan Cemetery and is still in fairly good condition. The map below shows the site of the grounding on the Crinan Rock. There is no breakwater as it was not built until the early 1890s.
