The record shop in the middle of Hamilton Street was Baillie's.It closed in the late sixties and sold off their stock of records at bargain prices as I bought quite a few.They also sold and rented out televisions if memory serves me well.

If you are waiting for oil from the Clyde you'll be waiting a while.I only seen what state the 3 towns were in when I moved to England years ago,the same as anybody else who moved away.The only ones who don't see it are the ones who live there.It still doesn't detract from the state the council have...

If my memory serves me well the first band to appear at the Pavillion,maybe to open it,was 'TheTroggs',so it was the summer of 1996,and it was a Friday night as I couldn't go as I had to start nightshift at Herdmans the bakers,I also remember the Beatstalkers from Glasgow appearing.Hope this helps.
