Thanks Irene yes that helps a lot. By the way how are you related to John Campbell Taylor? For he is my Great Grandfather. But I see you have him down as James, while I have as John? Everything else seams to fit except the first name.

Thanks sweet caroline and ardrossanrentboy interesting stories. I have looked at all the Taylors, uncles ,aunts, cousin nothing! so now I have to go to mothers side Mary Stevely of which I do not have much info. So it is possible his names could come from that side.
