Do we have any members who are keen on hifi?
My music is now mainly streamed from a local music server or from Spotify to sitting room hifi and other rooms, via computer.
Despite the move to digital, I am keen to re-use my turntable and reel to reel tape deck, when domestic space allows.

Re: Milda
Milda was always a cheery participant when she was able to attend our reunion events. Here she is with her husband Derek at our Music Night in the Grant Arms, 17th July 2014. I'm sure she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. https://personal.cis.strath.ac.uk/george.weir/3t/music_night/music_ni...

How many churches?
Clearly, there used to be many more churches in the Threetowns than exist today. Some have changed their purpose from religious to nonreligious, while others have been demolished. The history of local churches makes for interesting reading, not least for the many schisms and unifications that took p...

Re: Wagon wheels
Bonzo has a point. Indeed, there appears to be a politically corrected 'replacement' - not from McVities - called Romany Creams. Apparently, these are from South Africa.

Do you remember Garibaldi biscuits? They were also available half-coated in chocolate (yum).

Re: Wagon wheels
There are many other examples of 'retro' biscuits that are still available. Often, they are chocolate coated, including the following: https://i2.wp.com/metro.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/ad_171303702-e1433714645396.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&zoom=1&resize=540%2C230&ssl=1 https://i...

Re: Wagon wheels
Following extensive research (i.e., Google) on whether wagon wheels have shrunk, I learned the following: The original factory which produced the biscuit in Slough during the early 1980s were transferred to an updated and modern factory in Llantarnam in South Wales. The original factory in Slough pr...

Re: Wagon wheels
You've got the right idea John. I have been sifting through boxes of books and papers that I retrieved from my parent's home after my Father passed away last year. This was the only biscuit wrapper that I found, although I don't recall why it was there.
