The area you have pencilled is where the burn went through and there was a little cottage but the rest were garden areas behind the houses right down to Boyd the Grocers and Donnellys paper shop opposite Reids fish and chippy. Could be wrong but no recolle...

Re Stevenston families there are the Rev Dr Landsborough census results from the early 1800's on the website. these were taken by the local minister at the time for the parish of Stevenston (this included a small part of Saltcoats at the Stevenston end.
