Seen Colin Hay at the Edinburgh Festival last night. Terrific 5 piece band including a fantastic Cuban guitarist. Colin gave a great peformance. Loads of droll humour about his career. Aye, you are right there Hughie. I couldnae tell you the number of moothie's Ive blawn the insides out of. Played in a good few bluesbands in my time. Hughie, there's a word from the past, Cooee. I always remember my mother using it often in the early 1950s when trying to attract the attention of a friend or whoever when she was "doon the street". Dont know where she got it from but I always thought it was an odd word as I hardly heard anyone else...
