Peace and joy to you all at this time and I hope you will be blessed with happiness in 2020.
It doesn't half feel strange writing 2020!

Re: Do you remember

Here's a theory. If Retsun was rushing to catch the tram he would jump on from the back where the destination board would be showing where the tram has come from, not where it was going. I could well be wrong much too young to remember trams (aye, right) but didn't the tram drivers just move their s...

Re: Arran again

"If you can see Arran, its going to rain, if you can't see it, it is raining." What does it mean when you can only see half of it?
Bitterly cold this morning but lovely views.

Also the fences seem to be working.

Sleeping warrior

I used to have difficulty getting my younger son to recognise the sleeping warrior outline ( I know other threetowners had a another name for this), but if he had been with me today I'm sure he would have had no bother recognising it. Even seems to be having wee puff. https://i.imgur.com/sn9elbE.jpg

Re: Stevenston - On This Day In History

£312 in the 1890 seemed to be a lot of money. I tried finding a comparison for today....."In other words, £1,000 in 1890 is equivalent in purchasing power to about £122,147.73 in 201]" Given that comparison they did all right getting £312!
