A Polish Guy
A Polish immigrant went to apply for a driver's license. First, of course, he had to take an eye sight test The optician showed him a card with the letters
'C Z W I X N O S T A C Z.' 'Can you read this?' the optician asked. 'Read it?' the Polish guy replied, 'I know the guy.'

Sad to see the passing of my cousin, George Morrison. George grew up in Nineyard Street, opposite what was then the Mission Coast Home. Condolences to Rose and all the family.

ANZAC's - And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda
Listen to the words of this now legendary anti-war song, written and performed by fellow Scottish expatriate, Eric Bogle. To my mind the best anti-war song ever written. ANZAC day falls on the 25th of April each year and is commemorated in both Australia and New Zealand. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: My pet hate
Kids having tantrums in the supermarket.
Mind you, we have short memories - our kids just had the occasional wee scream wanting lollies (sweeties). They never fell to the floor kicking and screaming.

She and a pal are featured in a campaign by a local public transport action group to promote more use of our local public buses - use it or lose it kind of thing.
