Dear Morag, I think that's your uncle Eric Northcote who has died, I'm so sorry, you mentioned him and your aunt in your recollections.

Re: St John's Primary Stevenston Photos 1959 - 1964 ?
Now you've mentioned it, Gerv, I agree that the teacher under the map looks like Mrs McLaughlin. The teachers in the top classes when I was there, from 1958-65, were Miss (Rene) Traynor, Mrs (Rose) Traynor and Mrs McLaughlin. Could Mrs Traynor be one of the other teachers? They all look a lot younge...

Re: Chatterbox - The Virtual Cafe
My, it's good to have the company, it's good of you to come out after that long journey. I wouldn't like to insult JD by refusing his hospitality, even if he doesn't know about it yet, so my tea can be added to his tab. And what's this Shiraz you're aye talking about? It sounds like a drunken sherry...

Re: Chatterbox - The Virtual Cafe
My, it’s a gey dreich day, I’ll just nip into the Chatterbox for a wee cup of tea before I go back. Oh, it’s empty. :cray: I’ve heard that much about it and now, on my first visit, there it is, nobody here. Mind you, it’s got a right cosy feel about it. Except – what’s that in the corner? It looks l...

Well, Morag and Netta, I think you should console yourself, as I have done many a time, particularly with tablet and wee cream Easter eggs, that it's really not good to give our children all that sweet stuff. It's much better to make the sacrifice and eat some of it ourselves. The things we parents ...

Re: The ... What are you doing or thinking right now - Topic
Well, I've just had a Cadbury's creme Easter egg so I'm not hungry either, in fact, at this time of the night, it probably wasn't a good idea, but I thought I should eat it before Good Friday started ... To Bob: I'm only just getting the hang of this posting business, but I've kept up with your news...

Re: St. Michael's Staff 1959/60
Had Mr McFarlane (wee Harry) arrived by then? And what about Mr Scullion (boys' PT)? They were both firmly entrenched by 1965 when I got there.
When did Miss McGeough start teaching there?
I can't remember who the girls' PT teacher was either!

Re: St Michael's football team, 1972
Some of the team came from the three towns, probably a few more than I can recognise - J Smyth (John) and M Campbell (Martin) are both from Stevenston and T Timmons (Tony) was one of the sporty Timmons family from either Saltcoats or Ardrossan.

Re: St Michaels Kilwinning 1965 photo
Hello John, John Donnelly (1965-1971) was part Italian - I think his mother was a Cavani. They were from Saltcoats or possibly Ardrossan (that doesn't really reduce the field!). He was never in my class at school but we were the only two who went from St Michael's on a French/Ayrshire exchange and h...

Re: St Michaels Kilwinning 1965 photo
I think the earliest this photograph can be is 1968-69, when this group would be in IVth year (calculated because some of them were in the 1965 IA photo) because it was in IVth year that the forms were rejigged and boys and girls were separated, each being split into two alphabetical groups. This lo...

I also think this is class 1A for the year 1965-66 and I can identify one or two others:
2nd row from the front: 4 Anne Fallen
Front row: 4 Ann Grant 5 Bernadette Ferguson 7 Elizabeth Conlan 8 Mary Martin
