Broom Farm, Stevenson Ayrshire

by Ronnie2905 » Sun Jan 15, 2017 12:48 am

Hi, As a young boy my Grandfather brought me to Broom Farm in Stevenson to visit family who lived there.
I have lots of fond memories, spending my summers on the farm.
We would walk to the nearby coup to salvage items of interest.
Caravans were permitted on the land and I often wonder about Andrew Baxter and his sister, Jacqueline, who had a caravan there.
It would have been around 1964, when I was about 12 years old.
An earlier memory was travelling up the Clyde on the night time cattle boat, from Belfast. It must have been around 1959. After that, we travel by way of Ardrossan.
Wish there were old photos of the farm and the family.
